Channel Repair and Dredging Work Progress on Jl. Menteng Bata Reaches 50 Percent

Progress of channel repair and dredging which carried out on Jalan Menteng Bata RW 07, Pasar Manggis Urban Village, Setiabudi, South Jakarta since May 24 has now reached more than 50 percent.

If it goes well, it will be completed in the middle of next month

Setiabudi Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit Head, Yansori conveyed, channel repair and dredging work was carried out to follow up resident's request which submitted through Musrenbang forum in 2020.

His side deployed 5 SDA personnel to dredge channel with width 75 centimeters and length 300 meters on Jalan Menteng Bata RT 14/07.

"Channel repair and dredging at RW 07 are carried out to follow up resident's request through Musrenbang in 2020. It is hoped water flow on the channel can run well, especially when it rains," he said, Monday (6/28).

He explained that his side dredged the channel first, then repaired the channel with cement. After that, his side will install concrete cover on the channel.

Channel repair and dredging work is carried out on channels along collector roads and in residential areas throughout 15 RTs. Channels located in each locations have length about 300 meters in average.

"Current progress has touched 50 percent. If it goes well, it will be completed in the middle of next month," he mentioned.
